Many people will be negatively affected if the Affordable Care Act is repealed. That much has been obvious for a while now.
What you may not have thought of, though, is that an entire industry could suffer.
Most comic creators, if not all of them, are independent contractors, which means that they rely on ACA for their health care. Writer Van Jensen, who has written James Bond and The Flash comics, reached out to Twitter to spread that message, calling Trumpcare “kryptonite.”
As more people realize what this could mean for the books they love, they’re raising their voices.
More freelancers need to speak out about this. It’s a huge segment of the workforce and our citizenry that are often ignored.

Jensen is also using Twitter as a platform to reach out to senators, asking them to “be a hero,” and vote “No” on the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson bill.
